I grew up in Abilene, Texas and got my undergrad degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Hardin-Simmons University. I originally wanted to be a special education teacher but knew that I had bigger passions for functional communication. I learned about the world of speech therapy and quickly fell in love. I have always wanted to work with children and adults on the autism spectrum so while in undergrad I was a behavioral technician at an ABA clinic. When I got into grad school I ran a program called EPIC which encourages autistic adults to socialize in a safe space with organized events. My love for communication and autism only grew.
I graduated from The University of North Texas and landed my dream job here at Speech and OT where I am able to support all forms of communication. I have experience working with AAC devices, speech, language, and sensory feeding and am excited to continue learning and growing!
