I grew up in New Orleans where I knew I loved working with the pediatric population and spent all my summers working as a camp counselor. When I learned about the field of Speech-Language Pathology, I knew immediately that it was something I wanted to be a part of. I began my speech journey at Louisiana State University where I got my bachelor’s in Communication Disorders, and then I went on to earn my master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Texas at Dallas.
I have experience in a variety of areas within the scope of practice of a speech-language pathologist including articulation, phonology, language, fluency, and voice. I love working with different diagnoses including autism, Down’s syndrome, attention deficit, auditory processing disorder, apraxia and more. I am also certified in gestalt language processing and trained to facilitate the Natural Language Acquisition (NLA) framework for children who communicate with delayed echolalia (scripting).
Each and every day, I look forward to working with children and their families, providing them with tools to be successful, and celebrating all of their achievements, be they big or small.
