My occupational therapy journey started after graduating from Texas Tech University when I began working as a therapy tech at a Rehab hospital. I fell in love with the profession and how client-centered it is. I love being able to think creatively to find different approaches to help my clients meet their therapy goals and improve their function and quality of life. During my graduate studies, I had the opportunity to complete my clinical at an outpatient pediatric clinic, and I fell in love with the pediatric population! Working with children and their families and seeing the progress made during therapy, big or small, is so rewarding. I find such fulfillment each day no matter what the challenges are of any individual client!
I chose to work at Speech & Occupational Therapy of North Texas because of the emphasis on child-centered care and team collaboration. I admire their focus of working with families and enabling them with the tools necessary to meet their goals is an integral part of the therapy process. I’m glad to be part of a great team!
