EMILY WOOD – OTR

My journey with occupational therapy began when I was a health and wellness coach for The Special Olympics in college, when I attended The University of Arkansas. I fell in love with helping kids and adolescents develop the life skills needed to improve their quality of life. From there, I went to The University of St Augustine for Health Sciences, where I got my doctorate in occupational therapy. My clinical experience with sensory integration therapy grew my passion for pediatrics even more, as I learned how to see the world through the eyes of children. I am so excited to continue to learn and grow as an occupational therapist as Speech and Occupational Therapy of North Texas!
