I have always enjoyed working with children in a variety of settings. When I was in high school, I had the opportunity to watch my mother begin practicing as a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist. I was immediately struck by the idea of making a difference in the lives of the children with whom I had always wanted to work!
This led me to follow in my mother’s footsteps and begin my studies in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of North Texas in 2012. During my studies, I had the opportunity to work at an elementary school and an outpatient clinic in the Dallas/Richardson areas. As time went on, I learned that I loved working one-on-one with children and their parents, which planted the seed in my mind to work in a pediatric private practice. I graduated from the University of North Texas with a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Soon after, I began working in the pediatric private practice setting, servicing children the ages of 18 months and 21 years old. I love working with young children with a variety of disorders including the areas of fluency, expressive and receptive language, and articulation in children with childhood apraxia of speech, hearing loss, Down syndrome, and autism spectrum disorders.
With each year of practicing, I have grown more and more to love my role in helping children and their families whom I get the privilege of treating.
